Sjögren's (SHOW-grins) is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease that affects the entire body. According to the National Institute of Health, an estimated 4 million Americans are affected and mostly women.
Sjogren's is an autoimmune disorder and there are some common symptoms but not all of those symptoms are present including auto-antibodies and systematic manifestations that may precede the "dry eye and dry mouth symptoms".
